As a gift to the community, WWTW will offer a free screening of Christopher Nolan’s film Oppenheimer Wednesday, July 26 at 7 p.m. at Minor Theatre, 1001 H St, Arcata. The film explores the work of J. Robert Oppenheimer, the theoretical physicist who directed the Los Alamos lab responsible for the development and testing of nuclear weapons that were subsequently dropped on Hiroshima and Nagasaki, Japan, in August 1945. The movie invites viewers to follow Oppenheimer’s choices and the worldwide consequences of those choices.
